C--AH--RA-ZEEEE HAIR DAY!!

Well, We did it! We survived crazy hair day. (Well I did! The kids are still at school trying to survive the embarrassment:)) It is hard enough to fix my kids hair and get them on the bus with our trying to do all the crazy cool-enough-to-win-a-prize hair. WHEW!! We did C's hair 6 times before he finally decided that HE was "too cool to look like a freak!" Yeah..well the rest of the kids like to look like freaks!

M hates to fix her hair anyways so she decided to wear a wig!!

Isn't she creative? She thought of this "do" all by herself! I know....I know, I am seeing a scholarship at New York's best beauty school in the future!

E... well this picture speaks for itself!

Riverfront Property?

So I woke up this morning to see this.........

Don't get worried, this happens every year. But it never ceases to amaze me. We live on a mountain so we get all the snow melting water right through the yard. Our house is built up on a hill so that we can always avoid the drainage. The rest of the year it is just grass. But it's kind of cool huh. My kids were trying to float the "river" on their sleds. But after one "trip" and they decided that they would wait until summer! BRRRRR!

Our snowy Valentines Day!

We had so much fun this year on valentines day. We decided to go as a family skiing. I grew up skiing and I have so many childhood memories skiing with my family.I have been pushing to get them all skiing so we wouldn't have to get babysitters anymore. And this was the first time that we all were able to go. Now when you see this next picture, I DO NOT want any calls from child protective services!!!

I know! I know! He is only three! I was just kidding about pushing to get them all skiing. But he REALLY wanted to go and he would have been ALONE on Valentines Day. So we took him. HE LOVED IT! And he really could ski!

Grandpa was so proud! Can you see the icicles on his moustache?

How many of your parent's still ski??!!! It is so fun for my kids to go skiing with their grandparents! I don't remember doing that with mine!:)

I wish I could have gotten all of them together for a picture but they were all over the hill. It was so fun!

I sure got a lot of comments about my crazy kids. Who like to go straight down the hill. Escpecially little M (a.k.a speed demon)! When we got in car E asked me, "what is a maniac?" I told him and asked where he heard that. He told us that someone told him that on the hill!:) It's a good thing they wear helmets!
And the best picture I should have taken was them ALL sleeping on the way home!

For dinner, we had scrumptious fondue. (Side note: Strawberry fondue recipes are just not the same as chocolate):)
It was fun but MESSY! I don't understand how come the kids can't understand "let it drip over the plate!" But we ate on the floor so it was okay!

She's a DECADE old!

My little princess is 10! Does it seem like time is flying by? We had a great day celebrating her. First, she had a date with Grandma and Grandpa. Where she went to an ice cream shop and got to pick out ANYTHING she wanted. (It's a big deal because when we are together as a family, we usually pick out the cheapest kiddie cones for all the kids!) She loved it. She came home and described the banana split in great detail for me. YUM YUM! I love that my parents are so excited to spend time with each of my kids individually. It is a great tradition.

Then we took all the cousins and Uncle Dylan to a fun indoor playground. They had a "BALL" (get it?)

Then we went home and had pizza, ice cream and cake. It is so fun to have a big family to celebrate with.

Just a few words about the Birthday Girl. J is turning into such a young woman. She is so fun to be around. I love that I can depend of her for help with the younger kids, that she is creative and such a leader in helping the younger kids with problem solving, games, and just being kind to each other. She is a very sweet girl who wants to make a difference with her life. I am grateful to have such a blessing as her.
