Have you ever had a friend that understands you so well that she can explain YOU perfectly to yourself. AND in a way that helps you understand your self better? I have a friend like this. We have known each other for 12 years now. It has been wonderful for me to be able to process my thoughts outloud with someone who really "gets me". I needed her more than I ever realized and even took advantage of her friendship for a few of my more self absorbed years. But she forgives me for my weaknesses and is ALWAYS there for me. Sometimes I surprise myself in how much I tell her. In a way it is like a confessional, because I know that even though I may have unchristlike thoughts and behaviors, she will still love me and help me see the best way. I am so thankful for her friendship, especially in the trying times. I really don't know how I would have gotten through some of my more challenging times without her wisdom. We have grown so much together and someday after this life is over I am going to figure out a way to connect us together as family. Friends are forever right? I guess Jen we will have to do some matchmaking....I have lots of boys and you have lots of girls right?!!! Wouldn't it be fun to see us both on a pedigree chart connected to our grandkids? Just get them thinking, that is all I ask!!! I love you Jen! Thanks for all you do and have done for me!

This is our mass production of kids....my five and her six!I would have never imagined that we would have this many kids! Remember our little babies we had together when we first met at BYU! Who would have thought?!
She sounds great! I can't remember if I ever got to meet her or not. You guys sure have a beautiful group of kiddies on the stairs...
ReplyDeleteMy name is HEATHER not Jen - but I will forgive you for that, after all we are BFF! Ha ha. I love friends like that. I love getting together and having our kids love it. I love when it feels like it has been minutes since we saw each other instead of years. I'm glad you have (another) friend that you love. Friendship is the sanity of mothers.
ReplyDeletei love you too.
ReplyDeleteand, because of you my house is cleaner...
my children are happier...
my husband is forgiven...
my laundry is folded and put away...
my testimony is stronger...
my mental-health bills only include a long-distance phone bill...
did i mention my house is cleaner?...
thanks for being there, every tuesday for 13 years.
and, NO OFFENSE COUNTS if it occurs during pregnancy. we've both been pregnant like 9 of the past 12 years so... i think we're safe.
oh, wouldn't your e and my ellie have a funny life together?!
ps. i do come from catholic roots. and as father Jenifer i grant you complete and total absolution for your sins. (i think that's the right word). say four hail mary's and talk to me while i fold my 100 loads of clean laundry and you will be clean and forgiven for all your pregnant grumpiness.
ReplyDeletepps. what a cute husband i have!?
ReplyDeleteand, look at drew in that dumb coat.
remember his RED VEST... he wore it EVERY DAY in kindergarten?! now he's graduated to his cord jacket. EVERYDAY!!
that child.
and... you should say that we've had 2 kids within days of each other. that's really hard to plan. and, if i didn't loose my baby recently, we were due on the SAME day again.
it's a sign. we were meant for each other.
:) or we talk on the phone so much that our ovulation occurs at the same time. that may be a little scary.
Taneil,
