Nationals!

So J and I just got back from a Ballroom Nationals. It was crazy! It was like being thrown into a whole new culture! There are rules and etiquette that we had to learn. And the competition....whoa!!! It was an incredible show. I can't believe what some kids can do. They must live and breathe ballroom.

J did great. Her team placed 3rd in the NATION, and she got her first call back individually(in the swing). She was really excited about that. I am glad that she has something that she can set goals and work hard at. And I enjoy watching! I really love ballroom dancing.

Wow! Check out this makeup! They had to wear fake eyelashes, bronzer, and all the make up had to be the same, done by a professional)

    What fun! Where were nationals? Hopefully they did somewhere great like Hawaii or Florida. Congrats to J on her amazing performance! I hope you get the make up off of her entirely (one of these days!!!) Gross. Maybe she will learn how fun make up is NOT before she gets to the age where she can wear it.

    Oh I think I'm jealous. There's a ballroom group here, but it's more like social dancing, nothing with any technique.
